New Fayette County Judge Joe Weber completed his first week in office on Tuesday. He took the oath of office last week on New Year’s Day.

“It was great, and the reason why is because of many great men and women in this courthouse,” Weber said. “They’re getting me on board and have explained many things to me.”

Weber presided over his first commissioners court meeting on Monday, Jan. 7. He began that meeting with some humor by asking the county’s legal staff to keep an eye over his shoulder.

Weber also presided over sessions of county court and juvenile for the first time this week.
