This afternoon, partly to mostly cloudy skies covered mainly the southern half of the Lone Star State. Skies were mostly clear over North Texas and the Panhandle. A few light showers were falling west of a line from Austin to Waco. Temperatures ranged from the 50s in the Panhandle and west Texas to the 60s and 70s across the rest of the state. Winds were generally from the north at 5 to 10 MPH. An upper level disturbance will bring a slight chance of showers on Saturday. Otherwise, mostly cloudy skies and near normal temperatures on Sunday will be followed by mostly sunny skies and slightly above normal temperatures Monday through Wednesday.
